Old Memories

20 01 2012

How many fond memories do you have either riding or driving in a car? Rolling the windows down on a warm summer night to let the sights and smells wash in, or sitting on you Dads lap as a child getting to “help” drive home for the first time.

Even a small memory can instantly take us back in time to experience the sights, smells, and feelings that we haven’t thought about in years. Oscar Wilde once said, “Memory is the diary that we all carry about with us.”

Great advertising is rarely about an available option or a new product feature. The most successful messages showcase who we are, where we’ve been, or where it is we want to go. If you really want your message to stick with consumers, look for an experience that unites them through memory. The final product of your efforts will put you in the drivers seat with a meaningful message that is bound to get attention.
